For Educators

BloggingSome time ago I received a note from Lurie Austinser as follows. I promised to look at the link she sent and to update my post if I thought it would be useful to educators. At the time, we were in Sicily, so offering to check it at a later date, it slipped my mind.

Rather than updating a post that is years old and was written in a different format/program, I am placing it here: http://www.buildyourownblog.net/blog/class-blog/ Hopefully, this will make it more current, but the details will redirect interested others to the older post as well.

Hi there Ryan,
I was going over your very useful page: budgetnomad.net/tech-teacher/ and I noticed you are linking to facultyfocus.com/articles/instructional-design/how-technology-can-improve-learner-centered-teaching/ which is a great resource indeed.
I wanted to mention another resource for you to use that encourages educational blogging and explains the value blogging has for teachers and students:

It is very helpful for any teacher that uses blogging. I would appreciate if you could add it to help other teachers.
Thanks,
Lurie

After completing my Ed.D., the frustration of finding a teaching position where I was willing to live, led to Ron and I leaving the country. We intended to travel for a year before settling somewhere in MA or RI.

We left the US without any credit card debt, no car payments and our house mortgage paid by renters. We had $10,000 in the bank to make our way through a year.
